Season of Giving

DBS Group’s Season of Giving 2024

This season, DBS Group is excited to bring communities together for a month of impact and generosity across the Greater Rochester and La Crosse areas. We’re teaming up with incredible local organizations to “Max the Match” in Rochester and with public schools for “Giving Tuesday” in La Crosse, with special challenges designed to rally our communities for causes that matter.

Give to the Max Day: Max the Match

Get ready to Max the Match this coming Give to the Max Day — a day where donors are the star and DBS Group is the enthusiastic sidekick! On November 21, we’re pulling out all the stops to make your Rochester donations go further.

Here’s the deal: DBS Group will match donations to Gift of Life Transplant House, Boys and Girls Club of Rochester, , and Paws and Claws Humane Society (because everyone loves heroes, kids, and kittens) up to $3,000 each. Plus, the nonprofit that rallies the most donors gets an extra $3,000 — think of it as a little friendly competition with a big-hearted twist!

Our goal? We want to support the community that supports us, sprinkle a little joy around Rochester, and show everyone that every gift counts — no matter how big or small.

So, let’s max out the giving this November 21, and make every dollar count! Join the fun, rally your crew, and help us Max the Match for a stronger, brighter Rochester. The more donors, the bigger the impact — let’s do this together!

Giving Tuesday

School Pantry Stock-Up

As the winter school break approaches, we know some schoolchildren are counting down to break, but for others, it’s a time of worry — especially when school meals aren’t available. That’s why we’ve teamed up with the school districts of Holmen and Onalaska and La Crescent-Hokah for our School Pantry Stock-Up!

Every elementary school is aiming to collect 250 food items by Giving Tuesday (December 3), and we’re here to help them fill the gaps. When they reach their goal, we’ll donate $500 to each school to fill in any pantry gaps. That means every student will have access to the food they need over the winter break. Let’s make sure no one goes hungry on our watch!

To donate to the School District of Holmen, you can drop off food at any elementary school in the district during regular school hours.

  • Evergreen Elementary
  • Prairie View Elementary
  • Sand Lake Elementary
  • Viking Elementary

To donate to the School District of Onalaska, please bring your food items to any elementary school:

  • Eagle Bluff Elementary School
  • Irving Pertzsch Elementary School
  • Northern Hills Elementary

To donate to La Crescent-Hokah Public Schools, simply contribute your items at any school in the district.

  • La Crescent-Hokah Public Elementary School
  • La Crescent Middle School
  • La Crescent High School

Most-needed items include:

  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Crackers
  • Canned tuna, chicken, or turkey
  • Pasta or rice
  • Cereal, rolled oats, granola, seeds, dried fruits, and nuts.
  • Shelf stable milk and juice
  • Easy-open canned soups, broth, and pasta meals, including individual serving size
  • Apple sauce, canned fruits and vegetables
  • Granola bars, fruit bars, beef sticks, string cheese

Let’s rally together and make a big impact this holiday season. With your help, we can fill those shelves and brighten the holidays for all our students!

Level Up Learning Challenge

DBS Group is teaming up with our schools in the School District of La Crosse again for Giving Tuesday, December 3! This year the focus is on making learning even more fun and effective for everyone with the Level Up Learning Challenge!

We all know how much students love art, music, and PE, right? But did you also know these programs improve cognitive development, boost social and emotional growth, and promote physical and mental well-being?

We want to make sure our teachers have everything they need to keep those classes running and our students succeeding! That’s why we’re donating $5,000 to help get fresh supplies and new equipment for these programs.

But we can’t do it all by ourselves — we need YOU! We’re asking families who have the means and local businesses to join in and help us Level Up the fun. Your donation could help fix up PE gear like rollerblades and bikes, give art classes more clay and paint, or even provide new instruments for music!

Together, we can make a huge difference and give local students the best learning experience possible. Let’s make sure every classroom has what it needs to help our students shine!
