DBS Group adds new project manager to team

DBS Group has hired a new project manager. Kevin Barnes joined the design-build construction company in December, bringing more than 35 years of experience to the post.

As a project manager, Barnes will coordinate and lead various commercial design and construction projects, including vendor contracting, overall schedule management, project financial management and owner advocacy.

Barnes began his construction career as a carpenter, quickly becoming a project superintendent. He has also served as a project manager, estimator and operational vice president. Over his decades of experience, he has managed approximately $100 million in construction projects through the years, encompassing senior living, industrial, mixed-use, office and hospitality facilities.

As a longtime industry professional, Barnes is a member of Associated Builders & Contractors of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Green Build Alliance and the Design-Build Institute of America; and he has earned numerous construction and other training certificates.
